An ECG (electrocardiography) test is a basic and non-invasive diagnostic test to assess the electrical activity of the heart. During an ECG, electrodes attached to the patient’s chest record electrical impulses generated by the heart, which are presented in the form of a graph called an ECG transcript or ECG curve.<\/p>\n

An ECG test is performed in the presence of disturbing symptoms of the circulatory system, such as chest pain, palpitations, dizziness or fainting. It allows you to diagnose m.in. arrhythmias, myocardial ischemia, and even myocardial infarction.<\/p>\n

At the Prokocim Medical Center, we offer both resting and exercise ECG tests on a modern cycloergometer. The tests are performed and interpreted by an experienced physician and qualified personnel.<\/p>\n

The ECG test is completely non-invasive and painless. It only takes a few minutes. The patient lies down on a couch, exposing the chest and limbs. The assistant then attaches electrodes to specific points on the body, lubricating the skin with a special gel. During the examination, the patient lies motionless. A record of the heart’s electrical activity is displayed on a monitor and printed.<\/p>\n
